Officers investigate related auto thefts
On April 3 at approximately 3:51 a.m., officers responded to the 4100 block of Falcon Place in Waldorf for the report of an attempted theft of a motor vehicle. An interview with the victim revealed that when he went outside to check on his Honda motorcycle, he noticed it was missing, and he also saw a green pick-up truck with a cap on the bed driving slowly away from the building. When the victim attempted to approach the operator of the truck, it accelerated and the victim’s motorcycle fell out of the back, subsequently breaking the truck’s tailgate off of the truck.
Shortly after on the morning of April 3, there was a report of a stolen motorcycle also in the 4100 block of Falcon Place. An investigation revealed that sometime between 5:15 p.m. April 2 and 9:15 a.m. April 3, someone stole a Honda motorcycle from outside of the victim’s residence.
On April 3 at 11:15 a.m., officers responded to the 19500 block of Lariat Place in Waldorf for the report of a stolen vehicle.
An investigation revealed that sometime after 7 p.m. on April 2, someone stole the victim’s green 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 truck from in front of his residence.
Based on information obtained during their investigation, officers believe all three thefts are related.

Alleged drug dealer raided by police
On April 6 at approximately 5:51 a.m., members of the CCSO Narcotics Enforcement Section with the assistance of the Emergency Services Team, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team executed search and seizure warrants on Mary Barnes Place and in the 12000 block of Shiloh Church Road in Newburg. Officers recovered quantities of K-2, marijuana, crack cocaine, U.S. currency, and numerous distribution and user paraphernalia. Justin Lafranz Holton, 25, of Newburg, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and crack cocaine. Pfc. D. Suave and Cpl. M. Davidson are investigating.
