Bannekar High School class of 1958 will hold “An Evening to Remember” annual dance 9 p.m.-1 a.m. April 9 at Hollywood Firehouse Social Hall, 24801 Three Notch Road. The event will feature music by Stone Pleasure Band. Attire is classy casual. There will be door prizes and food available for purchase. BYOB (free setup). Tickets are $25 in advance. A reunion of Jackson and Jameson cousins will be held June 4 at St. Mary’s Church in Bryantown. There will be a 9 a.m. mass followed by a gathering at the church hall plus other events. A picnic is planned for 1 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at Gilbert Run Park. The reunion will include the descendants of Thomas Jameson (1665-1734) who emigrated from Lancashire, England, and settled in Charles County. He married Mary Doyne (1676-1755). Individuals may be a Jackson and Jameson cousin under one of the following surnames: Bailey, Boarman, Bowling, Burch, Calvert, Cooksey, Doyne, Dyer, Edelen, Franklin, Gardner, Hayden, Jenkins, Knott, Lancaster, Lloyd, Mathews/Matthews, Middleton, Miles, Mudd, Murphy, Oliver, Pilkerton, Queen, Shorter, Smoot, Spalding, Turner or Wheatley.
