Lifelong Charles County resident celebrates 99th birthday
Mae Bowie, a life-long resident of Charles County, celebrated her 99th birthday Sunday, May 1 at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Pisgah, where she has attended since she was 13-years-old. The celebration continued with fellow residents at her home, Sagepoint Senior Living Services in La Plata, and ended that evening with her family. Bowie received many gifts throughout the day and said she is looking forward to seeing what turning 100-years-old will be like.
