Girl Scouts requests community support to feed local families

Girl Scout Junior Troop 5063 aims to assemble 100 “to-go” bags and distribute them to families in need on Thursday, June 2 to Our Place Waldorf, a local soup kitchen that fights hunger among local homeless and disadvantaged families.

The troop is looking for community donations and support to help make this possible. Non-perishable food items, and gift cards to purchase items are needed. Contact Kia Williams, troop leader, at 301-659-1040 with any questions or to arrange for donation pickup by Tuesday, May 31.
