The Charles County Commissioners will hold a public hearing 6 p.m. June 7 on the draft Watershed Protection and Restoration Program Financial Assurance Plan during the commissioners’ meeting in the Charles County Government Building, 200 Baltimore St., La Plata.
La Plata Planning Commission will meet 7 p.m. June 7 at La Plata Town Hall, 305 Queen Anne St., La Plata.

Commissioner Amanda Stewart’s (D) town hall meeting previously scheduled for May 2 is rescheduled for Monday, June 13, at the Waldorf West Library, room A, 10405 O’Donnell Place, Waldorf. The public is invited to attend. The purpose of town hall meetings is to take questions from those in attendance and discuss items important to the citizens and the community. Future town hall meeting dates will be available online at www. CharlesCountyMD.gov.
The 4th & 5th Districts Democratic Club will meet Monday, June 13, at Ledo’s at The Rivah restaurant on Cobb Island. The guest speaker will be Charles County Commissioners’ President Peter Murphy. Social hour 6 p.m., buffet dinner 7 p.m., and meeting from 8-9 p.m. Dinner reservations are required.

The United Democratic Women of MD Southern Region Luncheon will take place Saturday, June 18 at 11 a.m. at the Prime Street Grille, White Plains. State’s Attorney Anthony Covington (D) will speak about human trafficking in Charles County. Cost is $20.
