Charles County Literacy Council will be accepting registrations through June 8 for its volunteer tutor training workshop to be held 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. June 18 at Old Durham Church, Nanjemoy. Charles County Arts Alliance (CCAA) will hold a Special Call for Artists through June 1. CCAA is now accepting submissions for a Special Summer Art Show, a multi-media public exhibit, to be held July 13-Sept. 26 at the Charles County Government Building, 200 Baltimore St., La Plata. The theme is “Artists Without Limits” and will recognize local artists with disabilities. Local artists with disabilities may submit works of art on any subject to CCAA for consideration.
