Com­mu­nity chil­dren’s cho­rus an­nounces au­di­tions

The Ch­e­sa­peake Chil­dren’s Cho­rus (CCC) is look­ing for stu­dents en­ter­ing grades 2-9 to join the vo­cal en­sem­ble. In­ter­ested singers should sched­ule an au­di­tion time for ei­ther Wed­nes­day, Aug. 3, or Thurs­day, Aug. 11, be­tween 6-7:30 p.m. at Hol­ly­wood United Methodist Church in Hol­ly­wood, Md. In the short vo­cal au­di­tion, singers can ex­pect to meet di­rec­tors Lau­rel Di­etz and Linda Aughe, vo­cal­ize sev­eral di­rec­tor led warmups, and sing a fa­mil­iar song of their choice (such as “Happy Birth­day” or “My Coun­try ‘Tis of Thee.”) The cho­rus is open to any stu­dent in the tri-county South­ern Mary­land re­gion.
