La Plata Town Coun­cil will meet 7 p.m. at La Plata Town Hall, 305 Queen Anne St., La Plata.

Wed­nes­day, Aug. 17

In­dian Head Plan­ning Com­mis­sion will meet 7 p.m. at the Vil­lage Green Pavil­ion, 100 Wal­ter Thomas Road, In­dian Head. Western Charles Demo­cratic Club will meet for its an­nual pic­nic at Penny’s Estates, lo­cated on Mar­bury-Pis­gah Road, Mar­bury, at 6 p.m., fea­tur­ing fried chicken and all the trim­mings.
