Indian Head Town Council will meet 7:30 p.m. at the Village Green Pavilion, 100 Walter Thomas Road, Indian Head.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

La Plata Town Council will meet 7 p.m. at town hall, 305 Queen Anne St., La Plata. The Charles County Board of Appeals meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 13, is canceled. Board of appeals meetings are generally held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month, unless otherwise noted, in the commissioners’ meeting room at the Charles County Government Building, 200 Baltimore St., La Plata.

The next regular meeting of the board of appeals is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27.

Saturday, Sept. 10

The Charles County Republican Central Committee will host the grand opening of the Republican Campaign Headquarters at 4459 Crain Highway, White Plains, next to Benny’s Restaurant. Call 301-399-0115 for more information.

Saturday, Sept. 17

Charles County Commissioner Ken Robinson (D) will host a “Coffee with the Commissioner” town hall meeting at 11 a.m. at the La Plata Starbucks, 6675 Crain Highway, La Plata. The purpose of the meeting is to take questions from those in attendance and to discuss items of importance to the citizens and the community. The meeting will be videotaped for online viewing.

Tuesday, Sept. 20

La Plata Town Council will meet 7 p.m. at town hall, 305 Queen Anne St., La Plata. The Charles County Branch of the NAACP will meet 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the ReMax Building in White Plains. Nominations for the 2017-2018 Executive Committee will be discussed. Members of the Charles County Branch of the NAACP are invited to attend.
