The fol­low­ing items were compiled from Charles County Sher­iff’s Of­fice re­ports.

Sus­pect ar­rested for hit­ting man with gun, shoot­ing at him

At 9:38 p.m. on Aug. 27, of­fi­cers re­sponded to the 3500 block of Cur­tis Place in Brandy­wine for the re­port of a shoot­ing. Upon ar­rival, of­fi­cers lo­cated a man with a gun­shot wound to his fin­ger. A preliminary in­ves­ti­ga­tion showed the vic­tim was ar­gu­ing with the sus­pect — a rel­a­tive — dur­ing which the sus­pect hit him with a gun and then shot at him, strik­ing his fin­ger. The vic­tim was treated for his in­jury. The sus­pect, Raymond Jerome Cur­tis, 56, of Brandy­wine was charged with first-de­gree as­sault. Det. J. Austin is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

In­dian Head res­i­dence bur­glar­ized

Some­time be­tween Aug. 23 and Aug. 24, some­one broke into a house in the area of Sum­mit Court in In­dian Head and stole mul­ti­ple elec­tron­ics. Pfc. J. Har­ley is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Po­lice in­ves­ti­gat­ing In­dian Head bur­glary

On Aug. 22, dur­ing the day time hours, some­one broke into a house in the 4700 block of Ma­son Springs Road in In­dian Head and stole elec­tron­ics. Of­fi­cer J. Jack­son is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

De­tec­tives charge man for two armed rob­beries

On Aug. 27, mem­bers of the Charles County Sher­iff’s Of­fice Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions Di­vi­sion charged Ter­rance Ru­dolph Cooks, 48, of In­dian Head in con­nec­tion with two armed rob­beries that oc­curred ear­lier that day at a Dash-In in In­dian Head and a CVS in Bryans Road. Dur­ing the rob­beries, Cooks en­tered the store, im­plied he had a gun and de­manded money. In­ves­ti­ga­tors were able to quickly iden­tify Cooks as the sus­pect and ob­tained an ar­rest war­rant. Cooks was lo­cated and ar­rested with­out in­ci­dent. He was sub­se­quently charged with two counts of rob­bery. Det. C. Gre­gory and Det. R. John­son in­ves­ti­gated.

Man ar­rested for armed rob­bery

On Aug. 25, de­tec­tives as­signed to the Charles County Sher­iff’s Of­fice Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions Di­vi­sion ar­rested Ant­won James Sock­well, 26, of Wash­ing­ton, D.C., in con­nec­tion with an armed rob­bery that oc­curred on July 22 in the area of St. Marks Drive and Hunt­ing­ton Woods Drive in Wal­dorf. Dur­ing the rob­bery, Sock­well al­legedly ap­proached two male vic­tims, dis­played a hand­gun, as­saulted the vic­tims, and stole their prop­erty. Sock­well was de­vel­oped as a sus­pect and an ar­rest war­rant was ob­tained; he was lo­cated at an ad­dress in Wash­ing­ton, D.C. Sock­well was charged with armed rob­bery, first-de­gree as­sault and sec­ond-de­gree as­sault. Det. J. Feld­man is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
