Thursday, Oct. 27

The Indian Head Mayor’s Youth Advisory Team will meet 7 p.m. at the Senior Center, 100 Cornwallis Square, Indian Head.

Saturday, Oct. 29

The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Alpha Lambda Chapter, will host ‘A Voteless People Is A Hopeless People’ event, 2-3:30 p.m. at the Charles County Library Potomac Branch, 3225 Ruth B. Swann Drive Indian Head. Representatives from the Charles County Democratic and Republican Central Committees are expected to be on hand to provide attendees an opportunity to become active voters in their community.

Southern Maryland Community Advocates will host a Shop Talk event with Del. C. T. Wilson (D-Charles) 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Signature Cutzs barbershop, 3350 Middletown Road, Suite 102, Waldorf, discussing state legislation that will impact our county.
