Puzder nomination does not benefit working families

-

The nomination of Andrew Puzder as Secretary of Labor raises grave concerns about President-elect Donald Trump’s promises to working people.

Mr. Puzder’s nomination flies in the face of Mr. Trump vowing on the campaign trail that his economic platform stands for job creation and raising wages. Mr. Puzder does not believe wages need to rise and consistently puts his business and profits before those he employs. That’s not the help we need.

Mr. Trump needs to make good on his assurances and appoint someone to the Department of Labor who lifts up those in need of a better life. That’s a promise he made to us, and it’s one he must keep. Working families need an advocate in the Department of Labor, not an enemy.
