A Waldorf man was ar- rested on Saturday after allegedly raping a woman earlier in the week.
An arrest warrant was is- sued for Jesse Abram Cap- arratto, 19, after detectives recorded a phone call between him and the alleged victim and reviewed their text message conversation, court records show.

Around 7:59 p.m. on Dec. 7, Charles County Sher- iff’s Office investigators recorded a phone conver- sation after the alleged victim agreed to place a “one party consent recorded phone call,” charging doc- uments indicate. When confronted with the alle- gations, Caparratto repeat- edly apologized, saying “I would never expect me to do something like this” and “I’m sorry. I’m so, so, so, so, so sorry. That [explicit] is so [explicit] up for me to do that.” Det. J. John noted in the application for statement of charges that Caparratto did not deny any of the allegations, just apologized and said he didn’t remember at times.
Caparratto has since been released from custody after posting bond, court records show. A preliminary hearing date is pending.
