Thank you to the community for support

Dear Charles County community, on behalf of the Short Family, we would like to express our sincerest thanks for the bountiful outpouring of love and support you have shown us as we mourn the loss of our patriarch, Dr. James Short Sr. Words cannot express how much we love and will miss him. Although he was a family man, Dr. Short truly loved his community and touched the lives of countless students and colleagues through his passions of coaching and education. Judging by the enormous crowd that came to pay their final respects to the man whose life had impacted so many, it is fair to say that the Charles County community loved him as well.

In addition, we would also extend our deepest gratitude to the Charles County Public School System for the love and support that you have shown us through this difficult time. Finally, we would like to thank the Charles County Sheriff’s Office for aiding in escorting our family from the funeral to the burial site. We understand how quickly the arrangements were done, and appreciate you for making accommodations to be available on a Saturday.
