The College of Southern Maryland took a trip back in time the weekend of April 22, as the lawn in front of the Fine Arts Building was transformed into tournament grounds for the Barony of Dun Carraig, a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism covering Southern Maryland.

The Society for Creative Anachronism, or SCA, is an international nonprofit educational organization dedicated to the preservation, research and recreation of the arts, skills and traditions of pre-17th century Europe, according to its website.

Clothing, arts and crafts, armor, food, games and more were on display at the event, as well as music and sword fighting demonstrations.

The Barony of Dun Carraig can be found online at www.duncarraig.net as well as on Facebook.
