Bryans Road woman killed in collision

A Bryans Road woman died Tuesday morning in a car crash along Oliver Shop Road.

Deputies with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident between Route 6 and Wheatley Road. A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a Nissan sedan, Shaina Honeycutt, 22, was heading south on Oliver Shop Road when she lost control and struck a Chevrolet truck that was heading north.

Honeycutt was pronounced dead on the scene. There were no other occupants in the car. The two occupants of the Chevrolet were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All occupants of both cars were believed to have been wearing their seat belts.

The CCSO Traffic Operations Unit is investigation.
