Thanks for helping Waldorf Lions Club

On behalf of the Waldorf Lions Club, I would like to sincerely thank all those who attended and/ or sponsored our bull and oyster roast held April 30 at the Waldorf Elks Lodge. All money earned will go back to the community either directly or indirectly.

In particular we’d like to thank the St. Charles Companies, Cheney Enterprises, Omni Business Systems, Clinton Fence, Sherwin-Williams, Waldorf Toyota, Waldorf Kia, Erie Insurance, Bob’s Discount Furniture, SMECO, Monarch Paint and Design Center, Kohl’s, the Port of Leonardtown Winery, JW Photograph and Bill Beitz Realty. I would also like to extend my thanks to the Waldorf Elks Club for the use of their great facility. Thanks to all of you, this was our most successful fundraiser ever.

As “Knights of the Blind,” much of this money will go into vision research and providing vision screening and glasses to those in need. We also support a wide range of local charities such as the Hospice of Charles County, the Spring Dell Center, the Charles County Literacy Council, Angel’s Watch and many more groups that enhance the lives of our fellow Charles County and Southern Maryland citizens.
