Man stabbed in Nan­je­moy

The Charles County Sher­iff’s Of­fice is in­ves­ti­gat­ing a stab­bing in­ci­dent in which a Nan­je­moy man was re­port­edly stabbed by another male dur­ing an al­ter­ca­tion Satur­day evening.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, the stab­bing oc­curred at 10:28 p.m. in the 4000 block of Tims Place in Nan­je­moy. Po­lice re­ports said the male vic­tim, 22, was at­tacked and stabbed in the ab­dom­i­nal cav­ity.

The in­ci­dent ap­pears to have be­gun at a party where the vic­tim was in­volved in an ar­gu­ment with Tra­mane Dorsey, 24, of New­burg. De­tails as to why the two were ar­gu­ing are un­known.

Af­ter the fra­cas, Dorsey al­legedly stabbed the vic­tim then fled the scene. Shortly af­ter the in­ci­dent, po­lice were called to the lo­ca­tion, where they lo­cated the vic­tim with a stab wound to his ab­domen. The vic­tim was flown to MedS­tar Wash­ing­ton Hos­pi­tal Cen­ter for treat­ment.

The sher­iff’s of­fice used a K-9 unit to search the area and Dorsey was lo­cated nearby.

Ac­cord­ing to court doc­u­ments, Dorsey was charged with first- and sec­ond-de­gree as­sault and reck­less en­dan­ger­ment. Bail was set at $50,000.
