Cirque Italia now open for performances
Cirque Italia will be performing on the grounds outside of Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf this weekend. Its self-described “water circus” features acrobats, dancers and even a rollerskating team performing on a mobile stage surrounded by 35,000 gallons of water. Tonight’s show is at 7:30 p.m. There will also be three performances on Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets for the show are $25-$50, while children’s tickets are $10-$45. Parking costs $5. Cirque Italia employees began assembling the tent and stage on Monday. Staff laid the groundwork for the main stage, which moves vertically and will be surrounded by a water tank. The round, mobile structure can carry performers around the performance area.
