Shirley Jeannette Barker-Benincasa, 86, passed away in her sleep, with her family consoling her on August 2, 2017.

Daughter of the late William Cephes and Olive Kendrick Barker. Sur vived by loving husband, Dr. Vincent Benincasa, DDS; beloved mother of Emilia Ann Benincasa-Ferri, Natalie Marie Benincasa-Powell, Joseph Gregor y Benincasa; caring sister of Audrey Thurman; grandchildren: Brianna Simmons, Tiffany Natalie Marie Benincasa-Powell; great grandchildren: Sean Simmons and Brandon Simmons. Survived by a host of family and close friends. Predeceased by her grandson, Geoffrey Luke Ferri Jr.

A viewing will be on Monday, August 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20735 and then on Tuesday, August 8, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church, 8908 Old Branch Ave., Clinton, MD 20735. Interment will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735. A reception will follow after the burial at the Topolino Restaurant, 6320 Old Branch Ave., Camp Springs, MD 20748.
