St. Catherine’s annual fish fry will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, at the hall, 7636 Port Tobacco Road, Port Tobacco. Cost is $15 for fried fish dinners of whiting or tilapia with dessert. St. Francis de Sales Church to host Spring Oyster Fest
St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church will host its annual Spring Oyster Fest noon-3 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Parish Hall located at 7209 Benedict Avenue, Benedict. The menu will include local oysters served at an outdoor raw bar, fried and scalded oysters; shrimp, ham, and a variety of salads and side dishes. There will also be desserts for sale and a flea market. The cost is $25 per adult; $5 per child (maximum of $20 for children.) Four La Plata churches will join to offer the annual ecumenical Good Friday Pilgrims Walk noon-3 p.m. March 30. The event will begin at Grace Lutheran Church, 1200 Charles St., and continue to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 201 St. Mar y’s Ave., followed by Christ Episcopal
