Authorities Tuesday were searching the Pennington Road area near where a missing Gridley woman’s vehicle and cellphone were found.

Alycia Yeoman, 20, a Yuba College student, has not been seen since she left a Yuba City residence on Thursday night. She missed work at the Gridley McDonald’s on Friday and missed her shift at Starbucks on Saturday.

Yeoman was added to the list of missing persons maintained by the state Attorney General’s Office.

She is the 22nd from Butte County. There are 11 each from Sutter and Yuba counties.

Farmworkers noticed the truck stuck in the mud in Live Oak on Friday but didn’t report it until Monday evening, authorities said. Her cellphone was found by a resident near the vehicle on Monday.

The citizen told authorities they attempted to turn on the phone in an effort to identify the owner, but only received momentary power before it shut off, according to a Gridley-Biggs Police Department press release.

There continues to be no credible leads of suspicious circumstances or foul play in Yeoman’s disappearance at this time, according to the release.

Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sutter County sheriff’s deputies and Office of Emergency Services Canine search team began a search of the Live Oak area.

Yeoman is 5-foot-4, 125 pounds, with brown hair and blonde highlights. She wears braces, has a nose ring and a small mole near her left eye.

Anyone with information on Yeoman or her location is asked to call Gridley-Biggs police at 8465670.

Sutter County Undersheriff Jeff Pierce said the department was called Monday by farmworkers who discovered Yeoman’s green 1998 Toyota Tacoma truck Friday morning.

According to the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office call log, a suspicious vehicle was called in at about 5:30 p.m. at the Live Oak Recreation Area in the 1100 block of Pennington Road; the call was completed just before midnight.

Pierce said the vehicle was found on the river side of the levee just north of the Live Oak Recreation Park and was stuck in the mud. At least one set of footprints was found.
