Cooler temperatures predicted for weekend
Cooler temperatures are forecast for Yuba-Sutter headed into Saturday, said Cory Mueller, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
“With it being in the 90s the last few days, it will feel a little cooler,” he said.
As of Thursday afternoon, the forecast was for highs in the lower 70s Saturday and lows in the 50s today, Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend should be dry with sunny skies as temperatures warm up to near 80 on Sunday. Winds of 10-15 mph can be expected. “Sunday is looking like a really nice day,” Mueller said. “Hopefully, it stays that way.”
Long-range forecasts show temperatures cooling back down Tuesday and Wednesday. A slight chance of rain in the valley can be seen no sooner than Wednesday.
