It’s been an emotional week in the Alycia “Aly” Yeoman case: On Sunday, a body was discovered in the Feather River; on Tuesday, the body was confirmed to be Yeoman’s; and on Friday, family announced a celebration of life.

It will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3 at Max’s Miracle Ranch in East Biggs, according to the Facebook page “Justice for Aly Yeoman” (previously named “Find Aly Yeoman”).

Attendees are asked to dress casually and bring a dish or drink as it is a potluck event. The color theme will be white and yellow to signify daisies, which have been the symbol in Yeoman’s disappearance, pinned on the chests of family, friends and strangers.

Since the Miracle Ranch has been closed since October, a clean-up day will be hosted on Sunday, May 21, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. for those who want to help prepare it for the celebration.

“We wanted to thank the community for all the love and support they have shown to our family in our time of need,” according to the post.

No new information has been released by the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office surrounding the cause of death of Yeoman, 20, who had been reported missing since March 30. She was a Gridley resident and Yuba College student who hoped to be a nurse, according to posts by the family.

Yeoman’s story sparked a profound response and condolences and well-wishes have been shared on social media from across the nation.

Her autopsy was completed on Tuesday, according to the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, but toxicology and lab results could play a factor in determining the cause of death. Those results take four to six weeks.
