Re: Stamp Out Hunger
On behalf of the Yuba-Sutter Food Bank staff and volunteers and all of our clients in Yuba and Sutter counties, “thank you” to the following post offices and the National Association of Letter Carriers for food collected during the 25th anniversary of Stamp Out Hunger food drive, “Fill a Bag. Help Feed Families.”
Yuba/Sutter, Wheatland, Sutter, Browns Valley, Olivehurst and Meridian. Over 24,638 pounds of canned/packaged food combined.
The food collected will be available to 38 partner food pantries in the Yuba-Sutter area, and to clients in various food distribution programs at the Yuba-Sutter Food Bank.
The Brownsville/Challenge, Dobbins and Oregon House post offices donated to local food pantries in their respective areas.
Thank you to all of the donors in both Yuba and Sutter counties. Your kindness and generosity are making a difference by helping those in need in your communities. Hunger is not an option in our communities. Help stop hunger now.
In addition, a special thank you goes out to the Yuba Sutter Mall, Strings Italian Cafe and the residents of Yuba and Sutter counties for their monetary donations on Friday night at our Yuba Sutter Mall fundraising event for our senior nutrition program, Fresh Start Friday.
We will be back at the mall in August for another fundraiser for our families and friends in Yuba and Sutter counties, and remember, always shop locally.
