Gill named to 4-year term
Colusa native Dr. Raminder S. Gill was named to a four-year term as governor of the California Northern Region Chapter of the American College of Physicians, the national organization of internists.
In 2005, he was named a Fellow of the College.
A graduate of Colusa High School, Gill is a clinical professor of internal medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and a hospitalist at the UC Davis Medical Center.
He is a graduate of UC Davis, received his medical degree from Ohio State University and completed his postdoctoral training in internal medicine at UC Davis Medical Center.
Gill’s involvement with the organization’s local chapter has included serving on several committees including as a co-chair for the scientific meeting program committee. California’s tax laws is featured in a free Small Business Tax Seminar and Resource Expo at California State University, Chico.
The event, for current business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, is from 8:30 a.m.-noon June 15 at Colusa Hall 100A, 400 West First St.
Topics include avoiding common sales and use tax problems, employee versus independent contractor, target marketing for your business and forms of ownership.
Sponsors include the city of Chico and members of the California State Board of Equalization.
