LITTLE LEAGUE: Game today

Sutter Area 7, Colusa 0 Katie McCaw struck out seven while throwing a two-hit shutout, and the Sutter Area Intensity kept their title hopes alive with a victory over the Colusa Heat in an elimination game on Saturday night.

McCaw also went 2 for 3 with an RBI at the plate, Breanna Lee knocked in two runs with a double, Hannah McCaw finished with two RBI and Isabella Castaneda added a run-scoring single for Sutter Area.

Clara Dorsey and Kaytee Dahlstrom had a single each to provide the offense for Colusa. Dahlstrom also struck out eight batters and allowed six hits over five innings in the circle.

Olivehurst-Linda 4, Wheatland 2 Danny Farris fanned seven batters and allowed four hits to help Olive- hurst-Linda stave off elimination with a win over Wheatland on Saturday night.

Bianca Yanez finished 2 for 3, and Camille Olenski and Erika Youger added a single each to provide the offense for O-L.

Korrie Almond went 2 for 3, Kayleigh Bumanglag drove in a run and Ellie Montalvo singled for Wheatland. Almond also struck out 12 and allowed five hits in a complete-game effort in the circle.

Olivehurst-Linda and Sutter Area will play today at 7 p.m. with the winner facing South Sutter on Monday for a berth in the title round.
