Minor softball Marysville 3, Wheatland 2 Olive Bauer tossed a no-hitter, struck out 16 and walked none for the
Elite on Sunday. She won a battle against Gators pitcher Chasidy Sills, who struck out 18.
Marysville had just two hits against Sills, one by April Rapp and one by Nyla Afato. Rapp had two RBI.
Wheatland’s runs were scored by Zoey Tinsley and Lexi Frankliin. Sutter Buttes 11, Olivehurst Linda 3 Makala Schamanski tossed a two-hitter and had 10 strikeouts for the Bandits, who built an 11-0 lead through 4⁄ innings. Schamanski also was 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI and scored twice. Grace Diaz was 2 for 2 with a double, a triple and three runs scored, Madison Schamanski was 2 for 3 with a double and scored twice and Rylee Bringgold scored once and had two RBI.
O-L was led by Hallie Prather, who had both of her team’s hits and and also pitched all six innings, striking out 13. Also, Tianna Hernandez scored a run. South Shore 11, South Sutter 1 In a game in which no one was credited with a base hit, the Bulldogs benefited from walks and errors and won by run-rule after four innings. Tianna Tubbs struck out five for South Shore, Kaleigh Jensen six for South Sutter. The Bulldogs’ Justyss Lane scored twice and Marriah Perez once; Perez also had an RBI. Elizabeth Erlandson scored the Wildcats’ lone run. Peach Bowl 8, Sutter Area 4
Jaycee Lee struck out 10 in a five-inning complete game and was also 2 for 3 and scored a run for Peach Bowl on Saturday. Victoria Acosta was 3 for 3 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored, Alexia Dell had a home run and three RBI and Drew McDonald had a double.
Sutter Area’s Kendall Brown struck out seven Peach Bowl batters and was 1 for 3 at the plate with an RBI. Rylie Longwell was 2 for 2 with an RBI and both Sydney Meagher and Emma Kelley were 1 for 2 with a run scored.
