FIVE EARN DIPLOMAS
Five inmates at the Yuba County Jail earned their high school diploma during their stay through a program offered by the Yuba County Office of Education and Yuba County Sheriff’s Department. Records were requested and researched to see what high school credits were already earned by the inmates. This was done with the cooperation of the director of and the Educational Services Division of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. A ceremony was held at the jail. The program is offered for previous inmates and those returning from prison at the Day Reporting Center run by the sheriff’s department.
