LITTLE LEAGUE: Marysville loses

Colusa 22, South Shore 7 Colusa bounced back from its first loss of the tournament with an eliminatio­n game victory over South Shore on Tuesday night.

Reese Roper led the way by going 4 for 5 with three RBI and two runs scored, while Kaytee Dahlstrom knocked in three runs and scored five times.

Dahlstrom also earned the win in the circle, allowing five hits and striking out seven over six innings of work for Colusa. Wheatland 19, Westshore 1 Wheatland pounded out 16 hits in an easy win over Westshore in Tuesday’s other eliminatio­n game.

Ellie Montana led the way by going 4 for 4 with two RBI and four runs scored, while Camryn Jacobsen finished 3 for 4 with an RBI and three runs scored. Lacey Fuller drove in five runs and scored twice, and Kayleigh Bumanglag finished with two RBI and scored three times.

Bumanglag also struck out six and allowed three hits over four innings to record the win in the circle. Westshore 12, Marysville 8 Marysville saw its run come to an end with a loss to Westshore on Monday night.

Jaidyn Moore finished 2 for 3 with two RBI and Brinley Lopes singled and scored twice for Marysville.

MINOR BASEBALL Sutter Buttes 4, Peach Bowl 3 Sutter Buttes advanced to the title round of District 2’s Tournament of Champions with an eliminatio­n game victory over Peach Bowl on Tuesday night at Perry Field in Sutter.

Joshua Shackelfor­d doubled and knocked in a run, and Tyler Siller struck out five and allowed three hits over 3 ⁄ innings to earn the win for Sutter Buttes, which faced 4-0 Marysville on Wednesday night in the title round.

Sutter Buttes’ lone loss of the tournament came in an 8-3 loss to Marysville on Monday.

Elijiah Moncher went 3 for 3 with two doubles to lead the way for Peach Bowl, which finished TOCs with a 4-2 record.
