Stylos is charged with a single count of voter registration fraud, which allegedly occurred in May 2016, as well as two counts of alleged voter fraud in June 2016 and on Election Day in November 2016. The remaining two felony counts are for perjury, which allegedly occurred in May 2016 and January.
Not-guilty pleas were also filed for three additional misdemeanor counts for knowingly giving a false statement to the Department of Motor Vehi- cles or the California Highway Patrol, making a false statement in an application to carry a concealed weapon, and unlawfully taking property not exceeding $950.
Stylos waived her right to a preliminary hearing and will appear in court on Aug. 23 for a pretrial conference.
She was fired from her position as development services director by the Sutter County Board of Supervisors in May. She had been on paid administrative leave since her arrest in February.
According to County Administrator Scott Mitnick, the decision to fire Stylos came from an internal investigation overseen by the county counsel office. The county did not have access to information from the district attorney’s investigation at the time.
Stylos was arrested by agents with the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office on Feb. 1. She was booked into Sutter County Jail and posted $25,000 bail.
