Butte Vista School Yuba City ■ Monday is a holiday – no school.
■ The eighth-grade basketball team continues its undefeated streak. The seventh-grade team won second at the Yuba Gardens Tournament.
■ The Academic Talent Search test will be administered at 8:15 a.m. Feb. 16 in the multi-purpose room.
Tierra Buena Elementary School Yuba City ■ Monday is a school holiday in honor of President Lincoln’s birthday.
■ From Tuesday through Friday, our fifth-grade students, ac- companied by their teachers, Lacy Mccauley, Maria Smith and Amy Benato, will attend Shady Creek Outdoor School. Also attending with our students will be the fifthgraders from Lincoln School.
■ Wrestling season starts with practice on Tuesday. Chris Reeson, seventh- and eighth-grade teacher, will be the coach.
■ Wednesday is our next minimum day. Teachers and staff will use this time for student progress evaluation, curriculum development and materials preparation.
Franklin Elementary School Yuba City ■ In honor of President Lincoln, Monday is a holiday.
■ A few things for your planning – Feb. 19, Presidents’ Day, is also a school holiday, and Feb. 23 is the end of the second trimester, with report cards to follow soon.
Twin Rivers Charter School Yuba City ■ Monday is a school holiday in recognition of Lincoln’s birthday.
■ The first-grade classes of Gina Buchner and Kendra Hines will go on a field trip to Gray Lodge outside of Gridley on Tuesday.
■ On Thursday, starting at 6:30 p.m., the third-grade classes of Katie Peacock and Sandeep Athwal, under the direction of music instructor Obie Leff, will have a “Sing to Learn” presentation titled “Sing for America.”
