- Appeal-democrat

While nearly all of Wednesday’s prep sporting events were washed out, River Valley High’s boys golf team managed to hit the links at Teal Bend Golf Course in Sacramento and come away with another victory to remain unbeaten on the young season.

Taking on host Rio Linda in a Tri-county Conference match, the Falcons recorded their lowest score of the year by shooting a 192 and cruised to a win over a Knights team that brought only three players to the match.

Trey Davis led the way for River Valley by firing a oneunder-par 35, while teammate Andrew Davidson was right behind him with an even-par 36. Riley Bell shot a 38, Ryan Jelavich carded a 40 and Guramrit Ghoman finished with a 43 to round out the scoring five.

The Falcons (4-0, 2-0 TCC) will host their own Falcon Invitational on Monday at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club.
