Marysville hosts Super SIDEWALK Sale

Everybody loves deals. So, when 15 or so local businesses band together to hold a day of deals, it’s a win-win.

That will be the case this weekend when business owners in Historic Downtown Marysville hold their Super Saturday SIDEWALK Sale.

“There will be sales of goods outside; some stores will have in-store discounts as well. It will be held during regular store hours, so there isn’t any particular start or end to the event,” said Demona Dibble, owner of Digs – vintage home furnishings and accessories. “The idea of everyone doing a one-day sale makes for more of a collective vibe downtown.”

Dibble said this isn’t the first time downtown businesses have grouped up to organize the event. She said it’s relatively easy for businesses to get organized and get the word out to community members.

“We’ve absolutely seen an uptick in customers during past events. I think it’s a combination of things that draw people to it, but having a common goal definitely seems to bring people downtown,” Dibble said.

Businesses involved in the one-day event span several streets in Historic Downtown Marysville, so those that attend have a chance to explore the many different shops and restaurants the city has to offer.

“The weather should be great, so we welcome everyone to come down,” Dibble said.
