Burglar flees after confrontat­ion with shotgun-wielding homeowner

reportedly taken out of the family’s garage but was left outside the home. Deputies searched the area but didn’t find the suspect.

“The victims provided a descriptio­n of the suspect that matched a recently arrested man that was familiar to our deputies,” said Leslie Carbah, spokespers­on for the sheriff’s office, in a press release. “The victims were shown a photo lineup and were able to positively identify that suspect as the same man who had just broken into their home.”

Law enforcemen­t went to Collazo-rosela’s last known address on Plantz Road but he was not present. Deputies conducted another check around 6 a.m., located Collazo-rosela and arrested him.

The suspect was booked into Yuba County Jail with bail set at $80,000.

Collazo-rosela had been released on April 30 following an arrest a few days earlier for criminal threats and obstructio­n.

The suspect, who is in the Yuba County Court system as Collazo-rosila, is scheduled to appear in court on May 16 for a hearing regarding his April arrest. Manuel Collazo-rosela

FELONY ARRESTS

Pedro E. Ramos, 42, of the 1000 block of North Beale Road, Linda, was arrested by the NET-5 Task Force at 8:56 a.m. May 3 in the 5700 block of Riverside Drive on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale, possessing a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm, and a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

DUI ARREST

Ryan L. Uutela, 30, of the 1500 block of Jamie Drive, Yuba City, was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 6 p.m. May 3 at Live Oak Boulevard. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.
