Communitie­s from the region – including Marysville, Colusa, Live Oak, Gridley and Willows – will come together to honor those affected by cancer, according to a press release.

The day will start at 9 a.m. with a free survivor’s breakfast in the survivor tent on Gray Avenue field. Opening ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. with a survivor’s lap first, and the second lap for caregivers.

The theme is “fun,” and the event will be filled with entertainm­ent, theme laps and music. The luminary ceremony will take place from 9 p.m.-9:45 p.m. Bags can be purchased for $10 in honor of a survivor or in memory of someone lost to cancer.

The goal is to reach $80,000 in donations for the American Cancer Society. The movement unites communitie­s to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for life-saving change, according to the release.

For the first year, the event will not be overnight.

FELONY ARRESTS

Stacy L. Johnson, 47, homeless was arrested by the Marysville Police Department at 9:04 p.m. May 15 on suspicion of kidnapping. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

Fred D. Patty, 35, of the 700 block of Boyer Road, Marysville, was arrested by the NET-5 drug and gang task force at 11:15 a.m. May 15 at his residence on suspicion of a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

Alexis S. Gabriel, 25, of the first block of Montana Drive, Olivehurst, was arrested by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office at 9:38 a.m. May 15 her residence on suspicion of burglary. She was booked into Yuba County Jail.

Kylin S. Stephenson, 25, homeless was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 7:47 p.m. May 14 in the 300 block of Percy Avenue on suspicion of carrying a dirk or dagger. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

DUI ARRESTS

Vanessa R. Servin, 56, of the 1400 block of Creswell Drive, Yuba City, was arrested by the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office at 7:35 p.m. May 15 at her residence. She was booked into Sutter County Jail.

Pablo Gutierrez, 29, of Roseville was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 9:38 p.m. May 14 at Camp Far West. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.
