The Sutter Animal Services in Yuba City announced cats and kittens will be $25 during its Summer Adoption Special event through July 15.

The adoption fee covers spaying or neutering, deworming, flea treatments, vaccinations and microchipping.

The historic Durst Home in Wheatland will be open for viewing for members of the Wheatland Historical Society. Not a member? There’s time to join.

The tour of the old house is set from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday, July 1.

Membership applications are available at the Wheatland History Museum Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m-2 p.m. or can be downloaded at the Wheatland Historical Society website. They can be mailed to P.O. Box 164, Wheatland, CA 95692 and must be postmarked by Wednesday, June 25.

Individual membership is $20 per year. Business or family memberships are $35 per year, life membership is $150 per person; Wheatland residents 80 years old or older are free.
