Predicting where Lebron and other big names end up

Lebron James’ influence over the NBA is so profound that he dominated the free agency conversati­on last summer while still under contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Today, Lebron officially becomes an unrestrict­ed free agent so get ready for what will be an eventful few days/ weeks until the NBA’S best player announces where he is taking/keeping his talents.

Four years ago, Lebron wrote a letter claiming that he wanted to finish his career in Cleveland. Since then he’s purchased a second home in Southern California.

With Lebron, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Paul George and Demarcus Cousins just some of the big name free agents on the market, this will be a frantic July. There are some fans who enjoy this month more than the regular season, because in July everyone has a dream even if every team doesn’t have salary-cap space.

Just wait until next summer when more teams have money to spend and more free agents are available. For now, here’s how things shape up:

Lebron James The Summer of Lebron may be a quick one. There are reports that James wants to have this wrapped up by July 4, but his future could be linked to how quickly the Lakers can upgrade their roster.

Lebron would prefer to join the Lakers with another Allstar, preferably Kawhi Leonard but more likely to be Paul George. The Lakers and Spurs continue to discuss a possible trade for Leonard, but San Antonio is in no rush to move its best player. Plus, the Boston Celtics have more to offer.
