Here’s a look at activities slated for the holiday. Enjoy!

July 4

■ City of Yuba City Fourth of July Parade, 10 a.m. at Gauche Aquatic Park, kids up to 12 can join in on the parade. Dress up in your best red, white and blue. Decorate your bike or wagon, and enjoy the fun. After the parade enjoy a hot dog lunch. For more informatio­n call: 822-4650.

■ The Yuba-sutter Symphony, under the direction of Corey Kersting, will present a concert of patriotic music at the Town Center Fountain in Yuba City, following the Children’s Parade. Music will include famous marches, a tribute to veterans and more. ■ Colusa Country Fair Fourth of July Celebratio­n. Grandstand­s open at 7 p.m. and the show will start at 9:30 p.m. or at dark, whichever is first. 1303 10th Street, Colusa. Admission is free.

■ The Wheatland Lions will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs for their Fourth of July barbecue. There will be raffle prizes, a water slide and a horseshoe tournament from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 111 C St., Wheatland.

■ The Live Oak Lions Club is sponsoring a free swim day from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Live Oak Pool, on Pennington Road between O and P streets.

■ The Alcouffe Center is hosting a July 4th Celebratio­n. 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Alcouffe Center, 9185 Marysville Road, Oregon House.

July 7

■ Colusa Casino Resort will be celebratin­g the Fourth of July on the Seventh of July with a free concert featuring Neal Mccoy, which will end with a fireworks display. Doors open at 7 p.m., show begins at 8 p.m., fireworks display follows the show. 3770 Highway 45, Colusa. Call 458-8844.

Holiday closures

■ Government offices, including the U.S. Postal Service and banks are closed. ■ Yuba-sutter Transit will not be in operation today. ■ Recology Yuba-sutter pick up remains the same. Some drivers will start their routes early.
