United Way awarded $17,000 to give to local nonprofits
The Yuba-sutter-colusa United Way was awarded $17,000 to give to local nonprofits, officials announced Wednesday.
The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board appointed Yuba-sutter-colusa United Way as the lead agency for the National Emergency Food and Shelter Program, offering Yuba County $7,000 and Sutter County $10,000, according to a press release.
Agencies with the ability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs may apply for the funds. Applications are available by calling 743-1847, or by sending an email to terry@yscunitedway.org. Applications must be submitted no later than noon Aug. 8 to the Yuba-sutter-colusa United Way, 1521 Butte House Road, Suite C, Yuba City.
Organizations must be nonprofit with a voluntary board or a government agency and practice non-discrimination.
