MARYSVILLE RACEWAY Kids Bike Night set for Saturday

Children who bring their own bikes will get chance to race on the track

- By Troy Hennig Marysville Raceway

Marysville Raceway is always kid friendly. This Saturday night is no exception, as children ages 11 and under will be admitted for free into the grandstands.

Kids will also receive a coupon for a free soda and hot dog to use at the concession area. On top of that, after the heat races are completed, children who bring their bikes from home will be given the chance to race amongst other kids their same age on the front stretch of the dirt track.

Once the bike races are completed, Marysville Raceway will raffle off two new bikes – one boys’ and one girls’ – to the kids in attendance.

Reno’s Mike Monahan is the new point leader in the 360 sprint car division after both Kenny Allen and Jeremy Hawes were disqualified from the previous main event for on and off-track altercations. With the disqualifications, both drivers had points were taken away. Monahan now holds a 27-point edge over Allen and a 45-point lead over Hawes.

Blackout Fight Gear & Apparel has come on board the rest of the season to sponsor the winged 360 sprint car qualifying. The night’s fastest qualifier will earn $100 from Blackout Fight Gear & Apparel.

On the flip side, the best championship battle is happening in the Crate Sprint Car division, where Cameron Haney and Jaylon Deas are tied for the top spot with 267 points.

Throw in the competitive and consistent Mike Sayre, who is just one point behind at 266 points, and the division is anyone’s to claim. The first tie breaker is main event wins. As of now, Deas would be the champion because he has one win this season. Both Haney and Sayre have not won.
