Sponsors needed for memorial shoot Oct. 6
The Yuba Sutter Trap team is looking for sponsors and competitors for its Oct. 6 memorial trap shoot.
The competition is held in memory of California Highway Patrol officer Bryan Konvalin, who died from Leukemia in 2016. The funds collected from the trap shoot will be donated to the Leukemia Foundation, Widows and Orphans Fund, Sober grads for the all of the high schools, Chips for Kids and several other local functions.
The competition will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Coon Creek Trap and Skeet Club in Lincoln (5393 Waltz Road) with check-in at 8 a.m. and the competition beginning at 9 a.m.
For those interested in sponsoring the event, there are 40 pegs available at $100 per peg, which includes a sponsor sign and recognition in the Appeal-democrat. A team or squad sponsor runs at $450. Lunch only runs at $10 per person and includes a tri-tip sandwich, baked beans, salad and bread.
To compete, a five-person team runs at $450, and an individual competitor runs at $100 (they will be assigned to a team).
