Recology workers thought the duct-taped white bricks looked too movie-esque to actually be drugs. But they were wrong. The bricks, constituting $27,000 worth of cocaine, were found at the Marysville dump on Levee Road on Friday, and the local drug task force is looking for the owner.

NET-5 Commander Ron Nelson said they believe the cocaine was accidentally thrown out. And with such a large amount, it’s likely it will be missed by someone.

The task force collected the two bricks – 500 grams each for a total of 1 kilogram – which were wrapped several times in plastic wrap and black tape. They were found separately but within the same vicinity, Nelson said. The bricks are currently being tested for fingerprints and DNA.

Anyone who may have information about who the cocaine belongs to is encouraged to leave an anonymous tip at 674-2725 or online at https://tinyurl. com/y9u76obw. Duct-taped bricks, shown, constituting $27,000 worth of cocaine, were found at the Marysville dump on Levee Road on Friday.
