Presidential State of the Union
President Trump gave his State of the Union address Tuesday night. One of the themes was building unity
Not too hopeful. It’s hard to believe anything he tells us. He’s already lied before.
just wanted to resist him. Q: What parts of the address stuck out to you the most? A: The talk of security. My husband, son and granddaughters are in law enforcement. Security is our priority. People who come here must respect our government. The part about abortion stood out as well. Pushing the agenda to murder babies after they’re born isn’t right. A: I used to be a Republican, but the way the party has gone now it’s embarrassing. *** Q: How did you feel about the State of the Union Address? A: I thought it was awesome. It was very presidential. He opened the doors for other parties and set the tone to have open dialogue. He talked about unity, but I could see on some of the Democrats’ faces that they ... whether or not it succeeds is in the eyes of the beholders. We talked to people around the community and queried some partisans for opinions – this is the second of four installments. Sutter-yuba Republican Women Federated president
