Worst of rainy weather over, for now

- By Randi Love rlove@appealdemocrat.com

The rain has all but passed for the week.

The storm that moved through the area midweek brought slightly higher precipitation than normal in previous years, according to the National Weather Service Sacramento Office.

“The area has had 3.28 inches of precipitation over the last two days,” said NWS meteorologist Idamis Del Valle. “Generally it’s two to three inches.”

Del Valle said the area isn’t expected to have any significant rainfall in the next few days. Today through Saturday it is expected there may be half an inch and Saturday through Sunday a quarter of an inch.

“It’s a colder front, so the rainfall has decreased,” Del Valle said.
