“We are looking to improve access to care on the south side of town, and we want to improve the connection to our community living there,” Rawson said. “There needs to be more availabili­ty of convenienc­e and access to urgent care services in that part of the community. As we’ve studied it, we felt that was an important area to address right away.”

The plan is to accept both appointmen­ts and walk-ins at the new facility, with urgent care being open seven days a week.

Adventist Health is dedicated to improving health care services and is willing to invest in the area, Rawson said, and the two projects are evidence of that.
