Joe was a local rice farmer for the past 35 years. Many farmers around the area may remember Joe in his early years as a mechanic for AMBAC Equipment Company in Colusa, or as Service Manager for Butte Equipment and Case IH in Gridley and Yuba City. But most people knew Joe as the Sales Manager at Sankey Auto for over 28 years, until he retired in 2020 to continue farming and to spend more time with his kids and grandkids.

Joe liked to support the local 4H and FFA chapter as a buyer at the Junior Livestock Auction. He also enjoyed attending the local high school sports g a me s . H e wa s a lifelong San Francisco 49er fan that rarely missed watching the games on TV, unless he was making excursions to t h e g a mes wi t h friends and f a mil y members. He l oved laughing and having fun with family and friends.

While there was a time when he loved to duck hunt and fish more often, in more recent years, you would find Joe spending more of his time with his family and friends than hunting or fishing. He especially loved being with his grandchildren, who he was so very proud of.

A great man t hat touched t he lives of many. He will forever be missed.

Joe is survived by his wife, Marcia Candito; his son, Michael Candito; his daughter, Brooke Reading (Nick); s t e pchil dr e n, Haley Amundsen and Nick Ferriaulo; sister, Joyce Candito; brother, Dennis Candito; his niece and nephews; several cousins; and his grandchildren, Todd, Max, Mia, Rocco, Micah, Maddux, Khole, Ava, Aubriella.
