In 1968, Malcolm returned to Sacramento to a t t e n d CSU, S a c r a - mento, on the G.I. Bill, graduating with a degree in Accounting. With this degree, Malcolm began a long and successful career in accounting, much of it spent as his own boss.

Later in his career, Malcolm expanded his passion for accounting to include a forensic practice, passing the exam and licensing requiremen­ts necessary to b e c o me a Cert i f i e d Fraud Examiner. He found his work so rewarding and fulfilling that he continued working past his promised retirement age of 75.

Malcolm is lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen, daughters; Liz Morgan of San Jose, and Jill Hernandez ( Ray) of Napa; grandchild­ren, A l e x a n d Mor g a n ; brother, Jerry Morgan (Karen) of Yuba City; in-laws, Mike and Marsha Stevens, and Ann Howard; numerous nieces and nephews; c o u s i n s ; a n d many lifelong friends who knew and loved Malcolm. He is preceded in death by his mother, Christine Morgan; and his brothers, Raymond and Richard.

He will be interred at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, at a private service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to the American Cancer Society or First Tee of Greater Sacramento, a non-profit dedicated to helping children by providing educationa­l programs through the game of golf.

A celebratio­n of his life, where all who loved him can come have a “honk” i n his honor, will occur at a later date when social gatherings can be safely held again.

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Carol Miller, announce her passing on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. She was 86 years old.

Mary Carol was born Christmas day 1934, on a farm in Vail, IA, to T h o mas a n d Mar y Powers. She was the middle child of 11 children. She attended St. Ann's Catholic School in Vail.

In 1957, she moved to San Francisco, CA, where she worked for Mutua l o f Omaha. While there Mary reconnecte­d with a hometown man who was stationed at Travis AFB.

On February 1, 1958, Mary married Ralph Chester Miller Jr., and together they had 3 daughters and 1 son. They enjoyed a long and fulfilling life. Having a husband in the Air Force they moved quite a bit.

Upon his retirement they made Yuba City their final home. It was here where Mary became a permanent fixture at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Her faith and church was an integral and i mportant part of her life. Having attended and served for over 50 years, from preparing the church, selling raffle tickets, to her famous brownies, Mary loved St. Isidore Church and it's members.

Mary's love for her family and friends knew no bounds. She was blessed with a loving family and wonderful friends. She enjoyed many things i n l i f e; traveling, poker games, shopping, casinos, and most of all, her "Super Bowl Pools". Anything that brought her family and friends together, Mary was game. As of late it was her greatgrand­daughters t hat brought her great joy saying, "I could sit here and watch t hem for hours."

She is survived by her daughters, Belinda (Jay) O'neal, Terrie Miller, and Kimberly Mil l e r ; s o n , Ra l p h Miller III; grandsons, Kyle (Lesley) O'neal, Justin O'neal, Ralph Miller IV; and greatgrand­daughters, Carley, Whitney, Molly O'neal; sisters, Janie, and Joan, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded i n death by her husband, Ralph C. Miller, Jr.; brothers, George, Jack, and Joe; sisters Sally, Jean, Kay, Rosalie, and Nancy.

Rosary will be Monday, Marc h 1 , 2 0 2 1 , 6 : 0 0 pm, at Ullrey Memorial

Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City. Services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021, 10:00 am, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Yuba City.
