Olivehurst Linda Little League tryouts

The Olivehurst Linda Little League is hosting registrati­on and tryouts this week.

Here’s the week’s schedule: – In-person registrati­on started at the ballpark on Monday.

It’s asked that a player’s birth certificat­e and proof of residency or school verificati­on are provided along with fees.

– Today (Tuesday), softball tryouts are taking place for minor and major divisions. Players are asked to register at 5 p.m. and they will begin at 6 p.m. – player registrati­ons will also be taken at this time.

– Wednesday, Baseball tryouts will take place for minor and major divisions. Players are asked to register at 5 p.m. and they will begin at 6 p.m. – parents will also be able to register players before tryouts.

– Thursday will be a makeup day for baseball and softball – it’s asked that people register at 5 p.m. to be evaluated at 6 p.m.

All players in the major and

minor divisions must be evaluated at tryouts in order to be placed on a team.

There is still money available through the T-mobile Call

Up the Grant program. If one has applied for this grant and not done so already, contact olivehurst­lindalittl­eleague@ gmail.com so they can get the player registered. Those who need assistance with a player’s fees, visit www.littleleag­ue.org/call-up-grantprogr­am/ and register. People on EBT, WIC, or Medi-cal have been able to use those services as qualifying proof.
