Jim Roby passed away peacefully surrounded b y hi s c hi l d r e n o n March 6, 2021, in Yuba City, California, after a battle with cancer. He was born February 20, 1939, i n Coxs Creek, Kentucky, to William Earl Roby and Mary Elizabeth Abell. Jim Bill grew up in Bardstown, Kentucky. At 4 years old, he was tasked to ride his pony to town to alert his Dad his brother was being born.

Jim graduated from Old Kentucky Home High School in ‘57. Jim served in the Army Reserves and in the Air Force as a Radar Repair Technician for a total of nine years. He met his f o r mer wi f e , June, while stationed at Beale Air Force Base. He was very proud to serve his country.

Jim served on the Sutter-yuba Board of Realtors since 1973, finishing his career at Century 21. Jim and Sally Raganit were sweetheart­s for 25 years. Jim was a Mason and a member of Enterprise Lodge, as well as a member of Marysville Rotary and was three times a Paul Harris Fellow. He had a big heart and loved helping others. His smile was contagious. He enjoyed golfing and he was excited about his Triumph TR3. He also had a special place in his heart for his granddaugh­ter, Alyssa.

Jim is preceded i n death by his parents, and his brother, Charles. Jim is survived by his sweetheart, Sally Raganit; his daughter, Felicia (Marc) Jensen; grandchild, Alyssa; his son, Nick Roby (Jami Cummins); b r o t her , John ( L i n d a ) Roby; nieces, Charlene Roby Grant and Christy Roby Keel; and nephews, Johnny and Sean Roby.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Cancer Society or to Wounded Warriors. There will be no services at this time.

1934-2021

Ruth Claydon was born on August 27, 1934, in Bunch, Oklahoma, and went home to her Lord on February 5, 2021, at the age of 86.

She came to California as a child in the early 40's with her family and later raised her own family in Yuba City. She worked for many years as the assistant manager of the Sutter Theater and was a loving/tender in-home childcare provider. She was known as Ruthie to all her babies. It was often said, “she was born to love” and that she did. While shopping in the local stores, Ruth loved to invite people to attend Calvary Christian Center with her and will be remembered by many as the “hometown missionary”.

Ruth is preceded in death by her mother, Violet, stepfather (Jack) Azevedo; son, Kenneth Freeman; brother, Leon Wolfe; sister, Shirley Matson; late spouse, Andy Roberts; son, Al Roberts.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim; daughter, Rhonda (Bruce) Fricker; Joy Roberts (Randall) Lauff; Stanley “Ray” (Dee) Roberts; Karen Roberts (Rob) Rosenburg; granddaugh­ters, Ericka (Greg) Pelechowic­z, Callie (Ed) Holiday, Andrea Freeman, Christie (Sean) Dean; grandson, Duane (Colleen) Taylor; halfsister, Rosa Lou (Mike) Gomez; and very muchloved great-grandchild­ren, nieces, and nephews.
